Holy & Religious Days
There is a long list of religious rituals that can be marked throughout the calendar, from the weekly days of Fridays, a 10 day lottery period of Lailatul Qadar, Day of Wukuf, fasting on Ashura, etc. The question on these is why these “annual anniversary” days matter so much to the Lord of the Universe? How did such dates were determined and came into existence, while other days get discriminated or matter less ?
Holy Days
Day and night are just continuous phases of time as the earth orbit around the Sun. The sun does not experience our day or night. The sun does not switch on or off so that we experience day and night. So it’s just relative.
When it is Friday morning breakfast in Tokyo, those across the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles are just about to have their lunch on Thursday.
It all depends on where we put the International Date Line (IDL).
Whatever days you’re in, it’s immaterial to the Lord of the Universe.
That day was determined by man made concept that draws a line across the globe that determined what day you’re in. So any day of the week is just arbitrary.
The Lord of the Universe does not subscribe to manmade concept.
So to believe that God has determined a particular day or month as holy, simply does not have any basis at all. How relevant was such a day during the Jurassic period is anyone guess.
The International Date Line
Allah will bless you based on which side of the manmade line you're in.
Now ponder this :
The Jews and Christians were already following a seven day week cycle.
The Jews and the Muslim weeks start with the same day that is Sunday, while the Christian starts with Monday.
This does not really matter as all three still follow the same days cycle except just a one day lapse starting day.
This shows that whatever calendar being used, the days of the week are still the same.
And Muslims by default, already following the Christians and the Jews whom were part of their community.
This means that The Roman Calendar were being observed, especially for a traders city like Makkah.
So Friday or Jumu’a as a market day, was already following the Roman Calendar day cycle.
Again, the Lord of the Universe does not subscribe to the Roman, Jewish, Christian, Persian or Pagan Arabs calendar.
What matters to the Lord of the Universe is what you do.
The good works that you do.
It does not matter on what day you do good works. They are not relevant.
